This little man turned 11 years old yesterday, yes thats right I said ELEVEN!!! I still remember the day he came home from the hospital. I loved having the responsibilities of the 'BIG' sister. He always brought so much happiness to our home. It amazes me day by day how much more love I can feel for this little guy when each day I tell myself, "there is no way I could have room to love him anymore."

love is in the air

February is the month for red, pink, hearts, kisses and love! This is my last February with out my hubby here to shower me with love, lots of kisses, plenty of red & pink gifts, and the last February that I can't leave little love notes all around the house for the first 13 days of the month, saving the very best one for the 14th!

I think that I will post something once a day until that sweet day called valentines day :) I've never really been much of a gushy, sappy person with that pointless holiday. But being a wife, I must admit... I've found the softer side to myself. I can't wait to be able to leave little things around the house to sum up all the things I feel about my husband when he gets home!

SO...... to start off this amazing first February being a wife to an outstanding husband....

1. My husband has the best sense of understanding! No matter what the situation, he is always so good at listening, calming me down & helping keep me thinking rationally.

sweet engagements!

well the invitations are finally out so here's a little peek at some of our other favorite pictures from our engagement session. we had so much fun that day getting all dressed up and going around taking our pictures! the worst part about the day was that it was middle of july & hotter than heck! we were sweating like crazy!

karen was our photographer & she did such an amazing job really capturing our style and personality in a lot of our photos. thank you so much for making all our pictures beautiful!

and most importantly...

39 days until we become husband & wife and live happily ever after!!

i seriously couldn't be happier right now! i love my life, i love the man standing beside me & i love that our families are finally coming together :)

this past weekend was my birthday and it was AMAZINGGG! jakeb flew in town to surprise me the day of my birthday. he walked into my school, in the middle of the entire salon, and brought me two dozen roses. i seriously was speechless, i cried & didn't want to let go of him!! the whole weekend was like a fairy tale, it just reminded me even more how lucky am to have him by my side the rest of my life.

this is how i felt monday morning when it was time for him to go! i just wanted to jump in his arms & go with him :(
