sweet engagements!

well the invitations are finally out so here's a little peek at some of our other favorite pictures from our engagement session. we had so much fun that day getting all dressed up and going around taking our pictures! the worst part about the day was that it was middle of july & hotter than heck! we were sweating like crazy!

karen was our photographer & she did such an amazing job really capturing our style and personality in a lot of our photos. thank you so much for making all our pictures beautiful!

and now....

the countdowns begin!!

26 days until my bridal shower

32 days until my final dress fitting

36 days until i get to see jakeb's face

and most importantly...

39 days until we become husband & wife and live happily ever after!!

i seriously couldn't be happier right now! i love my life, i love the man standing beside me & i love that our families are finally coming together :)

life is perfect!

please don't go!!!

this past weekend was my birthday and it was AMAZINGGG! jakeb flew in town to surprise me the day of my birthday. he walked into my school, in the middle of the entire salon, and brought me two dozen roses. i seriously was speechless, i cried & didn't want to let go of him!! the whole weekend was like a fairy tale, it just reminded me even more how lucky am to have him by my side the rest of my life.

this is how i felt monday morning when it was time for him to go! i just wanted to jump in his arms & go with him :(

A moment waisted being mad at the one you love is a moment too long! It makes the moments apart feel so much longer & harder knowing you waisted that time just being stubborn.... Tonight I'm remembering how amazing it felt to have him laying next to me, breathing my same air, that is because he's no longer actually laying here! We've started the count down already and he hasn't even been gone 24 hours. 14 weeks till I can see his sweet face again. 14 weeks till my body can fully relax and feel comfortable in his arms again 14 weeks till we can kiss each other again. 14 weeks till we declare our love for each other in front of everyone by saying our vows! 14 weeks till I am a BOWYER and can call him my husband!

I can't believe we're doing this again, the whole long distance thing.... but at the same time this is the last time I will every have to say good bye to him for the fall semester. the last time we'll have to pack up only his stuff in our house. the last time we'll miss each other's birthdays. the last time we miss valentines day together.

As time passes minute by minute it just continues to get closer to the day I will never have to wake up alone again because he's away at school. Time please do not take too long.... we have a life to make together and geography is standing in the way right now until may!

i know i know...

i'm seriously horrible at this blogging thing. lets recap on what our lives have consisted of these past few weeks!

1. i broke my camera it was a sad sad day! thats when i decided i was taking a break from blogging hoping if my fit lasted long enough jakeb would give in and let me get another one.... final verdict: STILL NO CAMERA! :(

2. we are officially ALL moved in! it feels amazing to come home everyday to a place we can call our own!

3. jake has finally finished his internship... thank goodness! i was beginning to think i was gonna have to give john, his boss, a piece of my mind! its so nice to have my fiance around again :)

4. my parents took in a foreign exchange student. his name is samuel and he's from Sweden! he would melt your heart he is so sweet! i love having him here not only to show him how americans live but also to learn all about his culture! the number one difference is the woman here & back home he said is that they are much much healthier back in Sweden! hmmm that sounds like a nice way of putting that us americans are fat.... haha we love sam! jake is so great with him, we've decided that in the future we would LOVE to be apart of the exchange program and bring in other cultures to our family.

5. wait for it... wait for it... NOVEMBER 27TH... hmmm... sound like a good day to get married to me! jake and i have officially decided that waiting till may to say our vows sounds ridiculous, therefore we've decided to move our wedding day up to thanksgiving weekend while all the family will be in town! we couldn't be happier right now! its been a whirl wind of events trying to get organized we only have like 3 months but i have faith that we will make it happen!

6. jake & i spent the ENTIRE day out registering.... oh my does it feel good to be done with that?! it was so much fun spending the day planning out everything we wanted to get our lives started. now if you see on our registry anything random please thank jakeb for that! after 4 hours in bed bath & beyond he was getting a bit delirious.

7. sadly jakeb is leaving one week from tomorrow morning! it's a bitter sweet... i'm sad that i wont get to hear his laugh or see his smile everyday, but at the same time we'll know that the very next time we get to see each other will be thanksgiving & we'll be preparing to walk down the aisle and promise ourselves to each other forever and all eternity! i love him more than words can describe :) we've decided to write our own vows for our ceremony. we figure we have had alot of time together and plenty of memories to build off of! now if only i can get all my feelings & thoughts to come out on paper as pretty as they are in my head!

well thats it for now... i'll keep you posted on how the rest of the wedding planning goes! next week we'll be designing our wedding cake and figuring out the final details!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY!

This is the best dad anybody could ask for! he has the best advise when you're down & the most amazing smile when you make him laugh. i love how level headed he has always been with us, and how stable he was for our family! through all the rough times in life you could always count on my dad to stand by your side. i can't wait to let my future children meet him and have him as a grandfather!

GOOD NEWS!

friends... it' official! we should have our keys in hand by friday for our new little house :) i can't wait to get in and make it into a home! yipeee

this is our kitchen & dining area... definitely needs some upgrades but we've already got it all planned out just wait for the AFTER pictures!!

With new flooring, new paint & new appliances everything will be PERFECT!! can't wait to let you all see the final project once it's done.

p.s. i'm taking any volunteers that would like to help! we'll call it a painting party with wine, food & good company!

i'm back!

okay lets admit it i'm not good at this whole blogging thing! i seriously have so much going on but never enough time to sit and catch all my friends up. first things first JAKEB IS HOME! it's been so amazing having him home. the week he got home we had a wedding to go to and then off to california with me family for memorial day. it's been nothing but amazing waking up to him everyday.

spoke too soon!

today is a sad day... swayzee is no long with our family! she's been really sick for the past few weeks but really thought she'd pull through. i'm going to miss her so much! she was the one that always comforted me when i was sad, layed on our laps watching t.v., and enjoyed getting into anything & EVERYTHING!!! she's in a better place now, i just have to keep telling myself she's feeling no more pain! you will be missed swayz!

2010... you've been so good to me!

well i can honestly say this has been one of the best years yet! not only did the love of my life ask me to marry him but we are officially homeowners!! pictures are soon to follow :) i promise! i am on top of the world right now. i have the most supportive parents standing behind me and the most amazing, loving man beside me! i couldn't ask for anything else right now, it seriously is the most amazing feeling to know we're starting our lives as a couple!

FIRST POST!!

okay everyone it's official i'm giving in!! i've decided it's about time that i start this cute little blog to keep all of our friends and family up to date on this hectic thing we call life. jake and i are engaged as most of you know hopefully we've set a date and it's getting more and more exciting everyday! MAY 21ST, 2011 we can't wait! also along the lines of good news.... we're in the market for a home right now :) keep your fingers crossed for us we're hoping to be homeowners before you know it!
